Alive King’s Lynn Community Football hosted its annual celebration event last week at the Corn Exchange.
The evening focused on the achievements of its community, development, and elite programmes over the past year.
The evening brought together players, parents, coaches, and supporters to reflect on an impressive 12 months, marked by sporting success and community impact across all levels of the scheme.
One of the standout achievements came from the girls’ football programme, which received the prestigious Norfolk FA Lioness Award 2025 for its outstanding work with schools and clubs, helping to grow and promote the women’s game in the region.
The Alive Walking Football team also earned recognition, finishing as runners-up in the Norfolk Walking Football League, while the Alive Ability Counts squad was commended for their fair play during the Histon Hornets Cup tournament.
In addition to sporting achievements, the club’s Time To Talk initiative, delivered in partnership with the 8:56 Foundation, continues to play a vital role in supporting men’s mental health through regular community sessions.
The celebration also highlighted the achievements of the Alive King’s Lynn Elite U14 JPL squad, who capped off a brilliant season with a runner-up finish in the Junior Premier League National Premier Conference.
Throughout the evening, the sense of camaraderie and community spirit was palpable, reflecting the club’s mission to use football as a force for inclusion, wellbeing, and local pride.
Organisers expressed their gratitude to the many people who make the programme a success, including players, families, staff, and long-time sponsors such as Athena Care Homes and Double G Clothing, represented by Gordon Chilvers and Graham Bennett.
