Club records tumble for West Norfolk Athletes

Katrina Wasteney set three new club records as West Norfolk Athletic Club members contested the last meeting of the EMAC League (Easter Masters) at Peterborough.Wasteney’s club records came in the 3000 metres, 300 metres and the discus in the W50-59 category.Other club records in their respective categories came from Nicola Neil (javelin), John Greenlagh (3000 metres) and Ian Reeve (javelin and high jump).West Norfolk AC took 12 members to compete in various track and field events and eat a substantial amount of cake – a vital requirement when joining this league.The women’s team were fifth overall on the night.W35-49: Kelly Watts, 200m 37.2sec, fourth, PB; 800m 3min 29.1sec, fourth, PB.W35-49: Jen Gosnell, javelin 14.6m, third; discus 15.23m, fourth (both with a broken foot). W50-59: Nicola Neil, 200m 33.9sec, second; 800m 2min 47.8sec, first; javelin 19.08m, second, PB and club record.
