The club has been developing youth talent in the area for many years and currently has 18 teams – 13 mixed sides, two men’s teams and three girls’ sides.

Chairman Ben Hails said: “Firstly, can I thank King’s Lynn FC for hosting our event. Hopefully a few of our young players can aspire to playing on The Walks in the future.

“I’d like to personally thank all our coaches, volunteers, sponsors as without them we don’t have a club and finally a big well done to every player this season.”

The club was formed in 1976 so this season will be its 50th anniversary.

Vice-chairman Didi Robertson added: “Clenchwarton’s presentation was a great day for everyone involved in the club.

“It was lovely to see all the teams from each age group there and each of the children collected a trophy for their hard work and efforts throughout the season.”

The club continues to grow on and off the field with its partnerships with the Football Foundation and the FA.

They are working continuously with the parish council to try improve facilities for its teams to enhance its vision of giving opportunities for the village and surrounding areas.

Secretary Kaye Bunting echoed: “The presentation day brought together our youth and men’s teams, their coaches and families to reflect on and celebrate a season of growth, teamwork and individual and team successes.

“Volunteering for a club like Clenchwarton FC has given me a wider insight into the benefits of football on well-being and mental health.

“There is a real sense of community within the club and we also work hard to develop links and a positive relationship with the local community.”
