Held at the Billericay school in Essex, Lynn were invited to the prestigious event where their young players would have the opportunity to compete with some of the best clubs in the country.

The Summer Classic included teams such as Brentwood Fire, Hackney Wolves, Canterbury Kings, East Herts Royals, and one of the country’s top programs Kent Crusaders.

Lynn took a young squad to Brentwood and went undefeated on the day, winning seven games out of seven to secure the title of tournament champions.

Club director Mitch Embling said: “With us being a small town club, going toe-to-toe with giants from areas like Hackney and Kent really was an incredible feat for our club and our youngest team.”

Lynn’s young star, Amiras Lukosevicius, claimed the title of the tournament’s most valuable player, leading the team to back-to-back victories across the afternoon.

The tournament was very well run boasting three courts, two of which were outdoors, alongside a very diverse pool of teams from all areas.

All of the club’s players had a great experience attending and can’t wait to go back again.

Lynn Basketball Club has gone from strength-to-strength since its inception two years ago, and the club are currently on the lookout for the next generation of young talent local to Lynn and West Norfolk.

“We want to meet all young players aged between 5 and 14 with a passion for basketball so we can nurture their love for the game and help them to develop their skills and maximise their potential,” said Mitch.
