Bridge bow out of Cup after two red cards

Two Sutton Bridge players received red cards on Saturday as the Peterborough League Division Two outfit crashed out of the Spalding Inter-Services Cup at home to lower-division opposition.

Robert Hook and sub Mark Garner were dismissed as Bridge lost 1-0 to Division Four side South Lincolnshire Swifts in our featured match.

After a goalless first half in this First Round game, Ben Mansour scored the winner for the visitors in the 61st minute.

Outwell Swifts are still undefeated in Division 2B of the Cambs County League after a 5-2 victory at Brampton Reserves, Adan-Jay Lewis scoring twice to make it six for the season and Brandon Hedge with his 11th, Lee Punter and sub Ross Beart also on target.

But Outwell Swifts Reserves went down 5-2 at Stretham Reserves in 4B after leading 1-0 at the break, Daniel French and sub Morgan Jessett scoring.

In the same division, Upwell Town enjoyed a 5-1 home victory over March Academy Adults to make it three wins on the bounce, Sam Cubberly netting four goals to make it seven for the season and Tom Crowson also on target. Sub Oliver Semys netted for Academy.

Anglian Combination Five North side Marshland Saints bowed out of the Norfolk Junior Cup at the Second Round stage, thrashed 7-0 at Division Two outfit Dersingham Rovers. Their reserves were also beaten heavily, 7-2 at home to The Woottons after being level 2-2 at the break.
