Hunstanton was once again at the heart of the summer sporting calendar as more than 200 bowlers descended on the town for the annual Hunstanton and District Open Bowls Tournament.
Organised by Alive Active Community in conjunction with Sue Clare and her team at Cliff Parade Bowls Club, the long-running tournament welcomed competitors from across Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, and the wider Eastern region—as well as a strong showing from local bowlers.
A variety of competitive matches took place across the week, with categories including singles, pairs, triples, and juniors, drawing crowds to the seafront to enjoy the action in the sunshine.
Joe Murfitt, active community manager, praised the tournament’s continued success, saying: “The Hunstanton Bowls Tournament has once again proven to be a highlight of the summer season, drawing participants and spectators to our beautiful seaside town.
“I always enjoy seeing everyone and watching the tournament year on year! We hope to see you all back again next year and look forward to welcoming some new players too.”
