Athletes take on triathlon

Four Three Counties Running Club members travelled to Norwich to take part in a triathlon event last weekend.Whitlingham Country Park was the venue and Tri-Anglia Triathlon Club was the host.There were two different distances to choose from, the standard and the sprint. The standard event was a 1,500m swim in the Whitlingham broads followed by a 38k cycle on the South Norfolk country roads and a 10k run, which was two laps off-road around the lake. The sprint event was a 750m open water swim, 18k bike ride and a one-lap run around the lake of 5k.Sunday was a blistering hot day so James had to change his plans of going for an exceptionally quick time and wisely held back. He still had a great run despite the heat, finishing in a time of 56:42.Parkrun results
