Storm Babet took its toll on Swaffham’s first and reserve team fixtures at the weekend, the horrendous rainfall making both away venues unplayable and flooding providing a hazard to travel.

The reserves’ Junior Cup tie away to Prostar Windows will now go ahead this Saturday and their planned league fixture will be rescheduled.

The first team will make the trip to Haverhill Rovers later in the season, the date yet to be confirmed. This Saturday the senior Pedlars host Parson Drove.

The A team were the only side to play Saturday, against local rivals Narborough, and they won 7-0, maintaining their 100% record in the league. A hat-trick for Blake Davies, a brace for Harry Exley, Charlie Gunner and skipper Ashley Rowland were the scorers. This weekend they entertain Northwold .

There are lessons to be learned for the youth team who lost 7-0 away at North Walsham Town in midweek, despite going in at half time only one down.
