In North Norfolk, an “insane” amount of work and lack of social life has paid off for the Fakenham students receiving their results today.
Fakenham Sixth Form handed out envelopes at 8am this morning and smiles were beaming all around.
At Lynn’s College of West Anglia, an impressive 90.8% of its A-Level students have achieved pass grades from A* to E. Notably, 24.3% of the cohort excelled by securing a grade B or higher.
This year’s results reflect the “hard work, commitment, and resilience of students and staff alike”, the college said. With high achievement across a wide range of subjects, many students are now preparing to take their next steps into university or further education.
Officials at the King Edward VII (KES) Academy Sixth Form in Lynn have said that after years of dedication to their studies, students have achieved their “very best” and have the skills and knowledge they need to reach their full potential.

More than 21% of grades achieved were an A* or an A, which is a 5% increase on last year’s results – while 47% of students secured an A*, A, or B, and 75% of students gained A* – C grades, both higher than 2024’s results.
Finally, officials at Downham’s Athena Sixth Form College have said their students should be “hugely proud” of what they have achieved – with many securing the grades they need to go to their chosen destination.
Natalie Paine, head of school, said: “Not only do they deserve all the praise for their academic achievements, but it is also important that we acknowledge that they are also fine young people who want to go on to make a positive contribution to the world that awaits them.”
