This weekend was a relatively quiet one for WNAC endurance athletes. With many tapering for the marathon, a handful of members were still racing on Sunday. It started with the Lincoln 10k, a popular race which boasts a strong field and a fast course.Three members took on the popular 10k with hopes of adding some shorter racing experience into their legs before taking on their respective marathons.Callum Stanforth was the first home for the club as he prepared for the London Marathon.Stanforth ran a very solid 33:15, 22 seconds shy of his PB, albeit deep into marathon training.Oliver Foxwell ran a strong 37:30, another good time for Foxwell, who looks set to take on the Manchester Marathon. Darren Easter battled illness to come home with a time of 39:30. Easter is also prepping for the Manchester Marathon. In the capital, a quartet of WNAC members were taking part in the London Landmarks half marathon, an exciting run through the streets of London, with tourist spots and great crowds on show for runners.Club chairman Mark Garrett was first home for the club, running a great time of 1:53:59 whilst enjoying the London crowds.Helen Garrett was next home, running a strong time of 2:09:09 for the 13.1 miles. Susi Rogers Hartley came first in the assisted wheelchair category, also setting a massive new PB by 15 minutes.Susi Rogers-Hartley finished with a time of 2:19:18 with the help of support runner and fellow club member Michael Stollery.
