Alive Lynnsport has announced an exciting new partnership with the West Norfolk Netball League.From this may, the new home of netball in West Norfolk, and are enthused to help raise awareness of this great sport within the west norfolk area.Following a change in England Netball facility rules, the venue is excited to be able to introduce line markings for outdoor netball very soon.The rule change led to officials meeting with the West Norfolk Netball League following a request to support them in developing netball opportunities for women and girls in the borough, as it is currently a challenge for them to find suitable facility provision.The project has progressed very quickly with both the WNNL committee and Alive West Norfolk excited to use Lynnsport as a springboard for the sport.Along with committing to provide the courts at lynnsport that the league will be hiring, alive lynnsport has provided the court time for free for an initial fundraising event to support the league at lynnsport, and will be contributing 50% of the equipment cost that the league needs to operate.Siobhan Cleeve, head of leisure at Alive West Norfolk, said: “It’s great that the updated facility rules allow us to diversify and include outdoor netball at the Lynnsport site, and we are excited to be building a positive partnership with the west norfolk netball league. “We recognise that netball is currently underrepresented in our area, and with its increasing popularity provides a fantastic opportunity, particularly for women and girls. “We’re especially pleased to be supporting the league’s efforts to expand opportunities as the new home of netball in West Norfolk and look forward to working with the league and local netball coaches to help them grow.”This is an exciting partnership that means the sport will become more accessible for all skill levels and backgrounds.”Jade Ring, from West Norfolk Netball League, added: “The opportunity to move the West Norfolk Netball League to a new venue is an incredibly exciting step forward for our league. “It opens the door to improved facilities, greater visibility, and the chance to grow our netball community across all age groups.”With more space, a fresh surface and better equipment, we’ll be able to encourage more training sessions, host events, and hope to attract new players, teams and supporters to our league.”This move isn’t just about a new location – it’s about creating new energy and setting the stage for the league’s next chapter of success in West Norfolk.”
