Lynn duo help themselves to double-digit scoring streak

Youngsters from Lynn Roller Hockey Club protected their unbeaten record after travelling to Burwell for their third tournament of the season at Soham Light Blues.Harlee Oltai and Joshua Rawlinson both helped themselves to a double-figure return each in goals as the team ran out convincing winners in all three games.Playing against against hosts Soham Light Blues in their first outing and with barely 15 seconds on the clock Joshua Rawlinson added his first of the day with a well-taken finish before adding two more.With further goals from Harlee Oltai and Rawlinson again, either side of which Soham managed to strike three times, to give Lynn a 5-3 half-time lead.Lynn started the second half with three quick goals in succession from H Oltai before Rawlinson added his fifth of the match. Rupert Oselton then calmly finished before H. Oltai also added his fifth of the game, with Lewis Stannett and Olivia Oxborough getting their names on the scoresheet to leave Lynn 13-3 winners.Next, the team faced ECU which was typically a tough match in the past.It took less than 30 seconds for H. Oltai to strike before adding two more quickly with Rawlinson the next to finish. H. Oltai then added another before turning provider in what was the team’s goal of the day. It was started by Oselton with a long pass diagonally before Oltai hit a first-time pass across the box to Oxborough who calmly slotted away.Oselton then turned scorer as he added a goal with Oxborough rounding the first half off 8-1 to Lynn.The second half started with H. Oltai scoring a brace before Rawlinson helped himself to three goals in a row before Stannett struck again. Olivia Cwiklinska was then unlucky not to add her first goal of the day when hitting a volley from the air which unfortunately struck the goalkeeper.The game was rounded off with a goal from Lennox Oltai to help Lynn to a 15-2 victory. The final game of the day was against the well-drilled defensive Letchworth.They managed to hold Lynn at bay for just over one minute though as Oxborough struck to give the team the lead. With further goals for Oselton and Stannett, H. Oltai then put away a brace before Rawlinson rounded off the first half to give Lynn a 6-0 lead.The second half started the same as the first with Lynn striking after one minute with H. Oltai this time scoring either side of aKeith Monk goal to leave Lynn 9-0 victors and captain Isla Procter with a well-deserved clean sheet.The team would like to thank Grace Davey for travelling to ref their games and, as always, thanks to Meadowside Vet Physio for their continued support of the team.
