Race ace Jenson Sayell, 11, has back-to-back SuperOne Championship trophies in his grasp following the weekend presentation evening at Silverstone. The Marshland St James youngster collected the 2024 SuperOne InterMax Champion’s trophy at the Kart Mania event, in his first year in the very competitive Rotax engined class.Racing superstars such as Jenson Button, Sir Lewis Hamilton and current F1 Stars George Russell and Alexander Albon have all won the prestigious SuperOne Championship.Sayell took the championship in impressive form with 13 wins, including the very first race of the series and was on the podium for 10 of the 12 finals, including five wins and three runner-up places.Along with the very large trophy, Sayell took away an armful of prizes including an Arai crash helmet, tyres, 2025 SuperOne registration and a photo canvas of him and his kart in action.Sayell has already committed to the 2025 SuperOne Championship and will run the prestigious Number 1 on his Intermax kart.“I loved the two rounds at Fulbeck, my home track and all the different weathers at the track, which made it a challenge,” he said. He won five of the six races at Fulbeck in Lincolnshire (and was runner-up in the other) and repeated the five wins from six races success at Shennington in Oxfordshire in the final two rounds to win the title in style. Looking forward to 2025, Sayell said: “I would love to get good grids next season and try for a hat-trick of SuperOne Championships but it will be very hard.”Sayell’s father Rob, who is also his mechanic, added: “I am super proud of what Jenson has achieved, I don’t think many drivers have managed to achieve back-to-back championships in two different classes.”Sayell and his family team would like to thank all this year’s supporters and sponsors of his team. These are TWRacing, engine builder Force Motorsport, driver coach GW Development, InfinityX Motorsport, VROOAM, Chris Phillips – Superstox 99, Prestige Designs and especially local sponsors JLK Vehicle Solutions, Ark East Anglia Ltd, Hall Clean, Professional Aesthetic Enhancements Kings Lynn and Sun Lounge.Jordan Kendal of JLK was at Sayell’s presentation and has already confirmed his long-term support, saying “What a season this young man has had.”JLK were very proud to sponsor Jenson this year and it was great to see him collect his spoils this weekend at the Wing at Silverstone. We look forward to continuing our support into the future.Sayell finishes his 2024 season next weekend when he will be competing in the final round of the HKRC Championship at Kimbolton.
