Nathan and Millie lead the way on British stage

West Norfolk SC were represented by nine swimmers at the British Summer Championships and Swim England Summer Championships this summer.Nathan Wells delivered a season-best in the British 50m backstroke race before he achieved more season-best performances and final qualification times for the English 200m and 400m individual medley events, finishing seventh overall in both.These accolades were followed by further season-best times and final qualifications in the 100m and 200m backstroke events as Wells came fourth and sixth in the respective finals.Millie Harris started her events with a personal-best time in the British 50m butterfly event. This saw her through to the final where she finished third with another personal-best time.Harris also took to the water for the English 100m butterfly and 200m individual medley races.Freddie Laws swam a season-best time to qualify to the British 200m breaststroke final, where he finished 10th, before coming 14th in the English 100m breaststroke event.More final positions came from Finlay Ryan, who qualified for the English 100m breaststroke final with a personal-best time, finishing seventh. Tobias Oglesby, who swam a season-best to qualify for the English 50m backstroke final, came seventh. Jamie Wilson swam a personal-best time to take him through the English 200m butterfly final where he came 10th overall.Strong swims also saw Sarah O’Brien get 21st and 18th in the English 100m and 200m breaststroke events, respectively, with a season-best time in the 100m race.Esmie Kidman finished 23rd in the English 1,500m event. The club was also represented in the Swim England Open Water Championships, Wiktoria Marcinek taking on the 7.5k distance for the very first time and finishing in 19th place.Special thanks was given to Joseph Wells, founder of Ignito Tuition, for sponsoring the national club swimmers.
