Fakenham hosts awards evening

Fakenham Cricket Club hosted their senior 2024 presentation evening at the Prince of Wales stand at Fakenham Racecourse.The glittering event was attended by 100 people.The evening started with a welcoming speech from club president Gordon Turner.After a two-course meal and drinks the evening was hosted by Ben Harvey, Steve Gray and Robert Dack.Gifts were presented to the amazing volunteers at the club who work throughout the year to keep the club running.They were: Paul Dunger, Gordon Turner, Liam Riseborough, Sam Futter, Allison Braddock, Darryl Parsley, Nicky Marshall, Ella Slegg Ronnie Heyhoe and Paul Sandell.A silent auction was held during the evening which raised more than £1,000. Fakenham Cricket Club would like to thank all the businesses who donated prizes for the auction and the evening finished with a disco, as well as all of the sponsors who contributed during the 2024 campaign. Thanks to Ben Harvey, Jodie Harvey, Robert Dack and Steve Gray for organising a terrific event.Fakenham Cricket Club would also like to thank the Fakenham Garden Centre, the Crown at East Rudham and Fakenham Racecourse for sponsoring the evening.Award winners on the night were as followsFirst team player of the year: Chris Read. Second team player of the year: Liam Riseborough.Third team player of the year: James Cawston. Ladies player of the year: Tilly Freakley.Over 40s player of the year: Richard Day. Sunday player of the year: Jude Parsley.The Alf Mace Memorial Trophy: Max Parsley.Stuart Williams Award: Hayden Lough.Club person of the year: Charlie Warden.
