Alfreton Town 3 King’s Lynn Town 0King’s Lynn Town kicked off their away campaign with a 3-0 defeat at Alfreton as they suffered their first-ever league loss at their Derbyshire hostsThe Reds only had a David Moyo goal to show for their first-half dominance before two goals in five second-half minutes from Liam Waldock and William Fewster saw the home side run out convincing winners in the National League North meeting at the Impact Arena. It brought the Linnets back down to earth following their 3-1 opening-day win over Warrington Town last weekend.Lynn got off to the worst possible start in the 13th minute when Boyo found the back of the net on his first start for the hosts after the ball broke to him in the box.The home side’s second goal arrived 11 minutes after the restart after some dynamic play from Billy Whitehouse played in Waldock to net with a brilliant finish past Paul Jones.Five minutes later, a trademark Adam Lund throw found an unmarked Billy Fewster to slam home Alfreton’s third. Adam Lakeland’s side will get a quick chance to bounce back when they host Rushall Olympic at the Walks on Tuesday night.Alfreton: Willis, Clackstone, Hunt, Lund (Perritt 80), Anson, Whitehouse, Cantrill, Waldock, Moyo, Fewster (Salam 75), Newall.
