Fakenham Town will be looking to regain the winning thread when they host Stowmarket Town in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division on Saturday.The Ghosts suffered a disappointing 3-0 exit to Cornard United in the FA Cup last weekend and manager Alex Walpole was frustrated by the manner of the defeat.Walpole said: Every game is important in football, but even more so after how we lost on Saturday to Cornard.”The players know it wasn’t acceptable, and they’re all desperate to put in a positive response against Stowmarket, especially in front of a home crowd.”We started the league campaign with a win so we want to follow that up with another three points.”Fakenham has strengthened its playing squad with the arrivals of Dan Blake-Hagan (UEA) and Luke Middleton (Diss).Downham Town will want to get their first points of the campaign on the board when they travel to Woodbridge Town at the weekend. Dale Stokes’ side will face Ipswich Wanderers in the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup after they edged past Thetford Town with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday night.
