King’s Lynn Town have swooped to bring Gold Omotayo back to the Walks. The powerhouse striker will be familiar to Linnets fans after an impressive two-year stay in Norfolk where his goals helped Lynn into the National League North play-offs back in 2022/23.Omotayo bagged 25 goals, including 22 in the National League, and was named in the league’s Team of the Season.Lynn are believed to have paid an undisclosed fee to bring Omotayo back to Norfolk. The former Yeovil and Wrexham man was then snapped up by AFC Fylde in the summer of 2023 and found the back of the net three times for the Coasters last season. He then made the switch to Kidderminster Harriers in a deal until the end of the 2024-25 campaign for an undisclosed fee.Linnets boss Adam Lakeland said: “I’m delighted to get Gold back to the club. “His last season here saw him score more than 20 goals in a campaign where he was one of the most feared frontmen in the division. “Gold is different to our other forward players yet has the attributes to play with them all.“He is a fans’ favourite and is yet another quality addition to a group which is now looking very strong.“To be competitive in this league you need goals, and in Gold, we have added yet another proven goalscorer and I look forward to working with him.” Omotayo is delighted to be back.”It’s good to be back. It’s been a very hectic last few weeks,” he said. “Eventually, I had to follow my heart and go where I’m wanted.”The most important thing as a footballer is that you want to play for someone who appreciates you which is why I’ve come home.”We spoke a lot in the off-season and we spoke previously to be fair and it just showed me that he was really committed to getting me here.”
