Linnets sign another goalkeeper

King’s Lynn Town have moved quickly to bring in another body between the posts by signing goalkeeper Patrick Boyes from Fleetwood Town.Boyes has been unveiled following Tommy Dixon Hodge’s departure to Roston Town for an undisclosed fee earlier today.Lynn’s new arrival has enjoyed spells at FC United of Manchester and Hartlepool United, joining up with Fleetwood’s development squad in 2023.Boyes, 21, said: “I had plenty of time over the summer to speak to the gaffer, he explained the plan and the goals for the season ahead and it was just something I could not turn down.”I’m buzzing to get the deal over the line, and I can’t wait to get started.”Linnets boss Adam Lakeland added: “I’m delighted that Pat has joined us and we needed to get another goalkeeper on board following the departure of Tommy Dixon-Hodge.”Pat comes with a good pedigree and enjoyed a positive season on loan to FC United of Manchester from Fleetwood Town last season. “He’ll come in and continue his development working alongside Paul Jones whilst competing for the number one position. I look forward to working with him next season.” Boyes arrived at Fleetwood from National League side Hartlepool United for an undisclosed fee.The Cod Army fought off a host of clubs for the 20-year-old’s signature, signing him to a one-year deal with an option of a further year.The young goalkeeper also had a spell with Grimsby Town.
