Alex Walpole has been named as the new manager of Fakenham Town following the sudden departure of Andy Cunningham.The long-serving Cunningham has left the Daly Group Stadium due to work commitments.A statement from the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division outfit on social media said: “Fakenham Town Football Club regrets to announce that Andy Cunningham will be leaving the club due to his work commitments.”Andy has been with us for six remarkable seasons, during which he has played a crucial role in advancing the club’s objectives and fostering growth.”We extend our heartfelt thanks to Andy for his dedication and invaluable contributions, and we wish him every success in his future endeavours.”In light of Andy’s departure, the club has promptly appointed Alex Walpole as the new manager for the forthcoming season. Alex, a long-standing and highly respected player, both on and off the pitch, brings a wealth of coaching experience to the role.”Additionally, Alex is pleased to confirm that Neil Jarvis, Stephen Harvey, and Alan McRoberts will continue in their respective roles within the club.”We wish Alex all the best in his new position and look forward to his leadership in propelling the club forward.”
