Dersingham Reserves are spot-on in Norfolk Intermediate Cup

After a prolonged break due to poor weather, a nearly full fixture schedule went ahead involving North West Norfolk League teams.

Dersingham Reserves and AFC Lynn Reserves were both in Norfolk Intermediate Cup action against North Walsham Town Reserves and Dussindale & Hellesdon A respectively.

Dersingham found themselves 2-1 down at the break but a second-half resurgence saw the game finish 3-3 and require penalties to decide on the victors.

A poor display of penalties from North Walsham meant Dersingham went through to the semi-finals 3-1 from the spot.

AFC Lynn did not have the same success as they went down 2-0 at The Nest in Norwich.

In Division One league action, Reffley remain top of the table after a 2-0 home win against Docking.

The tight fixture needed goals from Dion Evans and Ben Harris to ensure the three points went to the Reds.

Terrington are still unbeaten over the league season thanks to a 5-1 away win against West Lynn.

A Kodie Turvey brace complimented goals from Joseph Bly, Jordan Davies and substitute Ellis Boxall.

Clenchwarton found themselves 1-0 to the good after 45 minutes against KLSC FC Reserves.

KLSC are having a strong season and currently find themselves in second place currently thanks to a second half turn around to win the game 2-1.

Goalscorers in the game were Alfie Royle, Harry Carter and Charlie Burch.

Division Two table-toppers The Woottons are flying high in comparison to previous seasons.

They sit a point clear of second place West Winch but have two games in hand.

Goals from Ex-Dersingham men Harvey Hughes and Roman Billiard helped them to a 5-1 win away to Clecnhwarton Reserves. Alex Kirby and Mark Smith also found the net.

West Winch themselves were victorious as they overcame Shouldham 3-1.

Scorers were Ben Youngs, Jordan Clifford and Kai Gilkerson.

Dersingham A took on Weeting Saxons and won the game 5-2.

Weeting took the lead through Dan Murphy, but this spurred Dersingham on to score three times in the first half.

One goal from Nathan Mitchell, a trademark superb free-kick, from Gary Bowman and a good goal from, the hard-working, Jamie Cook.

In the second half, Ian Caps scored for Dersingham and Luke Biles hit a superb shot for the fifth.

The talented Dan Murphy scored his second for Weeting but their Man of the Match was their goalkeeper, Chris Smith.

The game was well-officiated by Kristen Codman.

Finally, Robbie Reeve was on target as Watlington Development and Gayton United A played out a 1-1 draw.
