Lynn U11 took three wins from three in their first rink hockey tournament of the season.
Although Lynn had several new players in the team, they passed the ball well and dominated the game, running out 7-0 winners in the season opener against ECU.
Zachary Rawlinson was unfortunate not to score, hitting the bar early on before older brother Joshua fired in two quick goals to get Lynn under way.
Lennox Oltai scored an impressive hat-trick, the last of which was a lovely team goal, finished emphatically.
Henry Turpin grabbed a goal in his first-ever competitive match before Lewis Stannet completed the scoring.
Letchworth were up next and their outstanding goalie made save after save to keep Lynn at bay. Lewis Stannet finally made the breakthrough in the second half, sweeping one in at the back post after an accurate square ball from Joshua Rawlinson. A minute later Rawlinson finished one of his own to complete the final score of 2-0.
Finally, Lynn faced a good Soham team who were a little unlucky not to pinch a point in the dying seconds. Joshua Rawlinson scored early on and Lynn should have been out of sight in the first half but for excellent goalkeeping and defensive work from Soham.
Early in the second half, Lynn went 2-0 up when pressure in front of goal from Theo Pezzillo forced an own goal. Soham pushed forward and had the ball in the net after a scramble in the Lynn box. Unfortunately for Soham, the goal was disallowed for sticks hitting Lynn keeper, Arthur Pike, as the ball was caught beneath him.
Pike quickly became Man of the Match as he pulled off some excellent saves before Soham finally scrambled one in to make it 2-1 at full time.
