Fakenham Town cruised into the next round of the FA Vase today, while Heacham bowed out and Downham Town suffered a narrow defeat on the road.
The Ghosts were 4-2 winners at home to Stowmarket Town – a side they defeated 7-2 on the opening day of the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division season.
There were two more goals for the prolific Jake Watts, with Ethan Flack and Rui McIntyre scoring the other goals in a 4-2 victory at the Daly Group Stadium.
Two second-half goals condemned Heacham to an early exit.
A long-range effort from Joe Brannan fired the Robins in front before Jacob Partridge added a second against the Magpies nine minutes from the end.
In the Isthmian League North, newly promoted Downham Town gave another good account of themselves before falling to a slender defeat in Essex.
Victory for the hosts at the Simarco Stadium was secured in the second half through an Andrew Sesay goal.
Next up for Downham Town is a home game against Takeley – their first game at the Memorial Field this season – on Bank Holiday Monday.
