King’s Lynn Town have parted company with attacking midfielder Matty Warburton by mutual consent.
Warburton, 33, arrived at The Walks in a blaze of glory under former boss Adam Lakeland.
But the former Solihull, Hailfax Town, Yeovil Town, Northampton Town, Stockport and Curzon Ashton player struggled to find his best form for the club following his arrival at the end of February.
The Northampton-based player made seven starts and four substitute appearances during his time at The Walks.
It will be interesting to see if Warburton’s departure makes room for James Rowe to bring in further reinforcements.
Lynn’s head coach has been a busy man in the close season, already signing 12 players.
The Linnets are back in action on Monday – again at Wisbech’s Fountain Fresh Park – against Downham Town (7.30pm) before they host Peterborough United next Friday (7pm).
