Title joy for West Lynn youngsters

Celebrations are underway for under-13 footballers from West Lynn Football Club and their supporters after winning the Premier League of the Norfolk Combined Youth League at the first attempt.They travelled to Horsford on Sunday, who were the only other team that could win the title, knowing that a win would guarantee them the title.A strong performance was needed, and that’s exactly what they delivered with a 5-2 win.Team managers Ben Flores and Neil Gayton felt a mid-table finish would have been a respectable position for their first season, but the team have currently only lost one match all season and hence secured the trophy with a game to spare.They said: “As coaches, we couldn’t be happier for the players and their families.”They have worked so hard throughout the season to achieve this. We are proud of every single one of them.”This is a fantastic achievement for a club that was only formed in 2022.Their other age group teams have also enjoyed a strong season, with two of the teams playing up an age group.
